The builder behind
every build

I grew up in a home that wasn't performing. No insulation, single glazed windows, musty carpet and very little ventilation. I can still remember waking up with a blocked nose and blood in my phlegm, battling asthma and hay fever. Those early years made a real impact on me, and they're the reason I build the way I do.

I've been on the tools since I was 15, first alongside my dad through school holidays, then across commercial and residential sites. I'm a Licensed Building Practitioner with a New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry and a Diploma in Project Management, and a member of NZCB and the New Zealand Green Building Council.

The turn to natural building started with hempcrete. I heard a builder talking about it on a podcast, researched it properly, and ended up building a small hempcrete tiny house myself, because reading about a material is not the same as working with it. From there came sheep's wool insulation, lime and clay plasters, and native New Zealand timber.

The way I explain it to clients: your skin is your first skin, your clothing is your second, and your home is your third. You wouldn't wear a plastic bag all day. The same logic applies to your house.

Homes should be healthy to live in and built to last. Performance and longevity are the luxury, not the finish. That's what we build for families who live on Waiheke year round.

Our Purpose

Our mission

We build healthy, high-performing homes using natural materials, for families who live on Waiheke year round. Calm, professionally managed projects with a true fixed price, built to last generations.

Healthy by design

The materials in your walls affect the air your family breathes. We build with natural, low-toxicity materials like hempcrete, sheep's wool and lime, because a home should never make its occupants sick.

Fixed price, kept

We do what we say. A true fixed price, clear communication, and accountability at every stage. No budget surprises.

Built to outlast

Performance and longevity are the luxury, not the finish. Every decision is made on what will still be working in thirty years, not what looks good on handover day.

Do the harder thing

When the right way and the easy way differ, we take the right way. We have pulled installed cladding off a wall to redo it properly. Fixing it right matters more than the extra time.
