Meet Matt 

I’m Matt, Director and Founder of MJones Building. I’ve spent over a decade working hands-on in both residential and commercial construction. I’m a qualified builder with a New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry, a Diploma in Project Management, and I’m a Licensed Building Practitioner. 

 

What drives me is creating homes that not only look great but also feel great to live in. I’m passionate about building high-performing homes that are warm, dry, and comfortable. I believe in using natural materials that support better air quality and reduce harm to the environment.

 

At MJones Building, we don’t just want a home to look good. We want it to be well planned from the start and built with care, so our clients feel good living in it, and the builders who create it can take pride in their work.

 

I lead a small, dedicated team that shares my commitment to craftsmanship and open communication. We take the time to do things properly, keeping every stage of the process clear, organised, and stress-free.

 

From day one, our focus has been simple. We build homes that improve the way people live, using materials and methods that are better for both the home and the planet.
